From the Half-elven Elros — the king who chose the Doom of Men — descends the long line of the Kings of Númenor, and through the Faithful of Andúnië the Realms in Exile and the line of the Dúnedain, until the Heir of Isildur sat again upon the throne with Arwen. ✕ joins a married couple; arrows show descent.

Notes

  • The line of Elros ran unbroken through twenty-four kings of Númenor to Ar-Pharazôn the usurper; the Faithful branch (Amandil, Elendil) escaped the Downfall and carried the kingship into the Third Age.
