Ar-Gimilzôr

the last of the rebellious kings before the return of the Faithful

personmanar gimilzornumenorking

Name and Rule

Ar-Gimilzôr was the twenty-third King of Númenor, a king of the apostates who hated the Elves, forbade their speech and the Faithful’s counsels, and would have emptied the western haven of the faithful; he took the name of the King’s title in the speech of his own choice, as the feud of the tongues grew.

His Change of Name

In his days the Faithful were driven from the west and the doom of the island darkened; but his own son, who broke from his error and took the name Tar-Palantír (the last to look with hope to the West), unwound much that his father had rashly bound.
