Bór
the faithful Easterling whose sons fell in the great defence
Name and Faith
Bór was the chieftain of that part of the Easterlings who came in friendship to the Elves of the North; his three sons (Borlad, Borlach and Borthand) fought beside the hosts of Maedhros and Fingolfin in the battles of the age.
Their End
In the Nirnaeth Arnoediad, when the treacherous Uldor broke the line, the sons of Bór sought out the traitor and were slain in the desperate fighting; their faithfulness and their death were remembered with honour amid the darkness of the defeat.
