the Easterling lord to whom Aerin was given
Name and Story
Brodda was an Easterling captain who, after the Nirnaeth, took lordship among the enslaved people of Hithlum; he forced the hand of Aerin, kinswoman of Húrin, and would have held her in his sway. In his house the long story of the Dragon-helm crossed with vengeance: amid the feasting, Túrin (as the guest who came unbidden) slew Brodda in Aerin’s defence.
