The Door of Night is the gate in the Uttermost West (in the Wake of the world, behind the walls) through which Morgoth was cast into the Void at the War of Wrath’s end — ‘and there he remains… a black cloud of death’, until the Dagor Dagorath, when he shall break forth at last.
