The Havens
The Havens of the Falas were the two fortified cities of the western coast of Beleriand — Brithombar and Eglarest — built by the Teleri who remained behind under Círdan, with sea-walls and quays and tall towers, the first havens of the Elves’ ships in the long age.
Their Fall
After the Nirnaeth Arnoediad the hosts of Morgoth laid waste the Falas and besieged the havens; their people at last went down to the sea in ships, and the remnant fled to the Isle of Balar, and the havens were never rebuilt.
