Definition
The Moon is the silver light made from the last flower of Telperion, guided by the wandering Maia Tilion; its waxing and waning (in the mythology) follow Tilion’s inconstant course as he pursues the Sun. It rose first of the new lights, over the sea, as the Noldor came.
