The Ring of Doom

Definition
The Ring of Doom (the Máhanaxar) is the open circular court before the gates of Valmar where the Valar sit in judgement: it is the place of the great councils and (crucially) of the speaking of the Dooms — including the Doom of the Noldor and the words of Mandos.
