Definition
The Round World is the state of Arda after the Akallabêth: when Númenor was drowned and Aman removed from the circles, the world was made round, Men sailed the round seas, and only the Elves’ ‘straight road’ could still reach the removed West — the mythic shift from the flat-world cosmology.
