Name and Story
The Fen of Serech is the marshland at the head of the river Sirion, where (at the Nirnaeth Arnoediad) the rearguard of the House of Hador made its last stand: Húrin and Huor held the crossing against the whole host of the Enemy until Húrin was taken and Huor slain — the place of the brothers’ doom and the seed of the curse of the Children of Húrin.
