House of Bëor
the first house of the Edain; the house of Beren
The first and most ancient of the Three Houses of the Edain was the house of Bëor, led into Beleriand by Bëor the Old and befriended by Finrod: wise, dark-haired, long-memoried folk of the mountains and woods. From their lordship of Ladros came Barahir and Beren; through Lúthien their blood mingles into the Half-elven and the kings.
