Name and Kind
The Lossoth (Snowmen) dwell upon the Coldfells and the shores of the Ice Bay of Forochel, a folk of hunters of the white bear and ships of ice, who fear the sea and laugh at Men of the South.
Deeds
They sheltered the last King of Arnor, Arvedui, in the ice of the great bay, and their lore is of the cold and of the sea; when his ship went down beneath the spell of the West, the Palantír of the North was lost in the waves.
