Morgulduin
the stream of the Vale of the Spider; the dark water of Minas Morgul
Name and Position
The Morgulduin is the dark stream that descends from the Vale of Morgul, beneath the Tower of the Moon (Minas Morgul), and finds the lowlands toward the Great River. Its water is tainted by the shadow — “unwholesome… to drink” — and the road of the Ring-bearers from the Cirith-warren passed through its valley, where the riders of the Nazgûl had their ways.
