Name and Role
Quennar i Onótimo — his name is rendered the Reckoner or the Enumerator — is named in the lore of the Eldar as one of their chroniclers, an authority cited by later loremasters (as in Quendi and Eldar) for the history, languages and customs of the Elves.
In the Texts
Beyond his citation as a source nothing certain is recorded of his life: his kindred, dwelling and time are not set down. He belongs with Rúmil and Pengolodh to the great company of Eldarin chroniclers whose writings underlie the traditions of the Elder Days.
