The Rock
The Carrock was a great flat-topped rock standing in the middle of the Anduin, with a stone stair climbing to its crest; Beorn’s own ferry-road crossed at this isle, and it was the landmark where the wild North turned secret.
Use
The travellers crossed by the Carrock on the road to Beorn’s hall, and its height gave the sight of the eaves of Mirkwood and the road to the Elvenking’s wood beyond.
