The Line
The Kings of Rohan were the line of Eorl the Young, lords of the horsemen of the Mark since the Oath — remembered long in the annals from Eorl through the grim Helm Hammerhand and the kings of the horse-folk down to Théoden, who rode his last ride upon the Pelennor.
The End
Théoden fell upon the Pelennor Fields, and the crown passed to his nephew Éomer the new king, who married the lady of Gondor and was the first of the line of the Fourth Age, and the friend of the King Elessar.
