The River
The Nimrodel was the shining stream that tumbled from the Misty Mountains through the vale of Lórien — a swift, golden-bright water whose ford the companions crossed, and whose name remembered the Elf-maid who was lost in the long searching of her love Amroth.
The Song
Its silver-watered road ran beneath the mellyrn and the golden wood, and the song of Nimrodel, of the maiden and the sailing of the last ships, was one of the sweetest sorrows of the forest of the Elves.
