Name and Deed
Shagrat was the captain of the black Orcs of Barad-dûr who held the tower of Cirith Ungol against the garrison of Morgul. In the brawl over the stealing of the mithril coat he slew the other captain Gorbag and bore the tokens of the shame up the stair — but he could not keep the prize, and his master’s servants lost it in the end.
His End
In the confusion Samwise struck him down and threw the Orc over the battlement; the Tower of Cirith Ungol fell silent, and the way was opened for the last stage of the Quest.
