The Dell
The Derndingle was the secret green dell in the depths of Fangorn, enclosed by the great trees, where the Ents came to their councils; its walls of trunk and shade kept the words of the tree-shepherds from every ear.
The Moot
In the days of the war, Treebeard summoned the Ents to the Derndingle, and there, debating through the deep hours, they resolved to march against Isengard - and the march of the Ents began from that hidden hollow.
