The Hills
The Tower Hills (Emyn Beraid) rose at the western end of the Shire and of Eriador, a green and windy range whose highest crown was the tower of Elostirion, where the Elves of old kept a palantír and looked westward over the Meres.
End of the Road
Beyond them lay the long ways to the Sea, and the road that the late-comers of the hobbits took at the end of the tale — the home of the Elanor and of those who walked the last path to the Grey Havens.
