The Hall
The Wellinghall was a great cave-like chamber of stone deep in Fangorn that Treebeard kept as his dwelling, its roof upheld by gnarled trunks and its floor a spring of clear water in a basin - a place of cool and echoing silence.
In the Tale
To the Wellinghall the Ent brought the hobbits after their escape, gave them the draught and the deep green sleep, and passed the knowing days of deliberation - the seed of the Ent-verdict against Saruman.
