The Sword

Andúril (“Flame of the West”) was the famous sword of Aragorn, forged anew of the shards of the Sword-that-was-Broken (Narsil), of the blade of Elendil that had cut the Ring from Sauron’s hand; it was reforged at Rivendell in the days of the Council, and given to the Heir of Isildur.

Its Deeds

Its light carried the Grey Company from the Paths of the Dead; it was drawn at the Pelennor and the Black Gate; and at the crowning of the King it was sung in the chronicles as the token of the kingship restored, unto the days of the new age.
