Quickbeam
the Ent Bregalad, the hasty ent of the rowan-trees
Name and Nature
Quickbeam (Bregalad) was an Ent of Fangorn, young in the reckoning of his kind and called ‘Quickbeam’ for his hastiness — he answered questions before the Ents’ long debate was done. His garden of the rowan-trees, his quickbeam, was the dearest of his love.
In the War
He walked with the Ents to the ruin of Isengard, was among the guardians who took the tower and the fountain, and gave the hobbits shelter and shelter-song while Saruman was overthrown.
