The Horn
The Horn of Gondor was the war-horn of the house of the Stewards, one of the great heirlooms of the Eldest line, bound with silver and loud as a trumpet of the morning; Boromir carried it from Gondor into the quest of the Ring.
Its Sound
When he was assailed among the trees of Amon Hen he blew it in his last great defiance, but none were nigh; it was heard broken upon the water, and was recovered at the Falls of Rauros from Boromir’s hands as his body went over the great falls in the boat of the companions.
