The Host
The Host of the West was the gathered army of the free peoples — the Dúnedain of the North, the men of Gondor and the vale-lands, the few thousand of the remnant of the West — that Aragorn and Gandalf led as the Captains of the West to the Black Gate in the last battle of the war.
The Marches
From the Field of Cormallen the Host marched with banners high, parleyed with the Mouth of Sauron at the gate, and fought the desperate battle that bought time for the Quest; its few and valiant stood against the hundreds of Mordor until the Ring fell and the Enemy’s armies broke.
