the Dúnedain and the Dead who followed Aragorn to the war
The Company
The Grey Company was the grim host that Aragorn led from Dunharrow by the Paths of the Dead: the Rangers of the North who had come to the war, and the Shade-host of the Dead Men of the mountain, sworn to give their aid in the hour of need.
The Deed
At the ferry of the Greyflood (Pelargir) the Dead Host swept the Black Ships of Umbar from the river, so that the strength of the South once more bent to the West; their work done, the Dead went free.
