The Ridge
The Morgai was the inner ridge of Mordor beyond the mountains — a hot, bare spine of rock and ash where nothing grew, overlooked by the black slopes of the Ephel Dúath and open to the reek and fire of the mountain’s doom.
The Road
Frodo and Sam crossed the wasted valley beneath it, resting in the grim slopes of the ridge before the last road to the Sammath Naur; the Morgai was the very frame of the shadow’s end.
