The Seven Rings
the rings for the Dwarf-kings, that hardened their greed
The Making
The Seven Rings were the Rings of Power given to the lords of the Seven Houses of the Dwarves; in their forging the Dwarves proved hard to shear by the Ring’s fingering, for they took no shadow shape but drew only greed and wrath to their kings and their hoards of gold.
Their Fate
Three of the Seven were consumed by the treasure-drakes of the North; the rest were in the end gathered to Sauron, and the last of them, that of Durin’s folk (Thrór’s, then Thráin’s), was torn from Thráin in the dungeons of Dol Guldur — and with it the seven-thronged doom of the dwarves was near its ending.
