The House
The Princes of Dol Amroth were the proud Númenórean lords of the coast-realm of Dol Amroth, swan-knights who held the southern shore of Gondor with the grace of the elder blood; their title was among the few hereditary honours of the southern kingdom.
In the Wars
Prince Imrahil led them to the defence of Minas Tirith in the War of the Ring, and the swan-knights stood among the noblest of the West at the Pelennor; his house, kin to the Stewards by marriage, was long reckoned of the purest of the Dúnedain.
