Name and Deed

Bolg was the son of Azog and the chief of the goblins of the north in the time of the Quest of Erebor; he mustered his hosts from Mount Gundabad and the mountains and led the great goblin-army against the allies in the Battle of Five Armies.

His Fall

In the last onslaught of the battle, when the tide turned and the goblins wavered, Beorn in bear-shape burst through their ranks and slew Bolg, and with the death of their general the goblin host broke and fled.
