Eärnil
the naval King of Gondor who broke the Wainriders
Name and Deed
Eärnil was a wise naval commander of Gondor who, in the year of the great war of the East, broke the Wainriders at the Battle of the Camp with the aid of the Éothéod and was crowned king in the city in the same year; his reign was long and peaceful upon the sea.
Legacy
His son Eärnur was the last king, and with Eärnil the line of the kingship passed its sunset; the memory of his seafaring and his war was among the glories of the southern realm.
