the silvered mail of the dwarves that saved Frodo
Story
The mithril-coat was a small hauberk of close-wrought links, light as silk and strong beyond the skill of any smith of Men; Thorin gave it to Bilbo, valued greater than the whole of the Shire. It saved Frodo from the spear of the Orc-captain at the Tower of Cirith Ungol, and was borne to the Grey Havens.
