The Realm
The Woodland Realm was the kingdom of the Wood-elves of the great forest, ruled by Thranduil the Elf-king, whose halls were hewn beneath the earth and whose court was famed for its feasts and its jealousy of its gold.
In the Age
The realm waged its quiet war with the shadow of Dol Guldur, and in the Quest of Erebor its king imprisoned the dwarves; in the Battle of Five Armies Thranduil’s host fought against the goblins, and in the War of the Ring the Elvenking’s forces held the northern forest until the Shadow was cleansed.
