The Hills
The Barrow-downs were low, green, rounded hills, once the burial-ground of the ancient kings of the North-kingdom, where under the turf lay the gold and the swords of long-dead lords — swords wrought for the defeat of Angmar’s people.
The Dream
There Frodo’s companions were taken by the Barrow-wight and laid in the barrow of the fallen, until the voice of Tom Bombadil called out and shattered the spell; the weapons the hobbits took from the tomb — the blades of the Westernesse — were thereafter (as the Wight said) for the hurting of the Witch-king.
Wights
The cold wraiths of those ancient dead, roused by the shadow of Angmar, guarded their chambers and their treasure with ancient songs.
